Become a Certified Indigenous Parenting Coach

You’re Here Because You Feel Called to Support Parents—But Not Just as a Parent Yourself.

Before you guide others in parenting, our training invites you to start with the full developmental lens.

Why You Must Begin With PreTeens, Teenagers and Young Adults

Parenting doesn’t exist in a vacuum—it exists within the daily realities of children becoming teens, and teens becoming young adults. To guide parents effectively, you must deeply understand the stages their children are navigating. That’s why our Indigenous Parenting Coach Certification starts with a strong foundation in developmental coaching:

  • How children shift emotionally and cognitively from ages 10 to 19

  • The role of intergenerational trauma, Indigenous identity, and family systems in raising teenagers

  • How coaching teens and young adults differs from simply “parenting” them

  • Why your coaching must go beyond your personal parenting style or story

Before entering this specialization, all Parenting Coach candidates must complete our flagship Teencoaching Certification, our foundational and prerequisite course. This ensures you coach from a grounded place of developmental understanding, not just personal experience.

Expanding Your Lens Further

Because parenting doesn’t end at high school, you will also be required to take at least one elective from our “Career Coaching for Young Adults” certification. This expands your ability to guide parents of emerging adults—navigating transitions to work, tertiary study, and life outside the home.

Your Certification Pathway

Core Certification: Foundation of Teencoaching™

Elective: Indi-Self Discovery Coaching™ (for those interested in working with young adults)
