One-on-One Teencoaching

For Your Teen to Be Seen, Supported, and Strengthened

Make It

by our Certified Teencoach Associates!

Every teen deserves to be seen for who they are — without needing to constantly explain themselves.
Our certified Teencoaches are here for exactly that.

Welcome to our coaching family — where transformation is guided, personal, and culturally grounded.

Transform Your Teen. Strengthen Your Family. Build the Future.

You’ve supported your teen in every way you know how — encouragement, advice, extra lessons — yet progress sometimes still feels slow. Maybe confidence is shaky, school feels overwhelming, or relationships are becoming complex.

That’s where our Certified Teencoaches step in.

Trained directly under Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™, our team of certified coaches bring the same indigenously grounded framework that defines Mayine Development Institute’s transformational work with young people.

They work with your teen one-on-one to nurture confidence, resilience, and self-leadership — so your teen can grow into a more grounded, capable, and emotionally aware version of themselves.

Our Coaching Approach

This program follows the Teencoaching™ model, developed and trademarked by Nomveliso Mbanga, ensuring that every session is structured, intentional, and safe.

Each teen is paired with one of our in-house certified coaches, supervised and supported by the Mayine Development Institute team.

How It Works:

  • Biweekly sessions: 2 coaching sessions per month.

  • Teen-led access: Teens can request additional sessions when they want to process something important.

  • Quarterly feedback: Parents receive progress updates every 3 months.

  • WhatsApp access: Teens can message their coach for guidance in between sessions.

This creates a balance between structured growth and teen-led empowerment, helping teens take ownership of their development while maintaining professional and emotional support.

Who This Program Is For

This coaching process is ideal for:

  • Teens navigating emotional or academic transitions.

  • Those needing consistent, guided support in self-confidence, motivation, or direction.

  • Families who want their teen to grow with a structured yet flexible coaching model.

This program is not a behaviour-correction service. It’s for teens who are willing to engage and take active responsibility for their growth journey.

Program Structure

  • 2 coaching sessions per month (one structured, one teen-led).

  • Ongoing WhatsApp support for brief check-ins or guidance.

  • Quarterly parent updates to ensure aligned support at home.

  • Flexible access: some months may have more sessions if the teen initiates them; others may include reflection or integration periods.

Parents invest in access and outcomes, not hourly billing.
This ensures focus remains on the teen’s growth, reflection, and integration — not just “number of sessions.”

Why Choose Our Certified Coaches

Our certified Teencoaches are more than just trained facilitators — they are professionals in their own right. Each brings a strong background in their respective fields and a genuine passion for working with young people.

All our coaches are:

  • Professionally Qualified — Most are established professionals with existing careers and a deep understanding of youth development, education, or leadership.

  • Formally Certified — They are trained through the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ Program, an ICF-accredited teen coaching certification.

  • Active Members of MaGICA — As associates of the Mayine Global Indigenous Coaches Association (MaGICA), they operate within a professional community that ensures continuous development, ethical accountability, and peer support.

  • Supervised and Quality-Checked — Our strict coaching supervision policy ensures that every coach remains aligned with Mayine Development Institute’s standards of excellence. Regular reviews, feedback, and ethical audits guarantee program integrity and client safety.

  • Culturally Grounded — Through ongoing training and mentorship, our coaches deepen their understanding of our core methodologies and how these shape the realities of modern teens.

  • Supported by a Central Framework — Every coach works within a shared professional structure that includes standardized tools, codes of ethics, feedback mechanisms, and escalation procedures. This means that even when challenges arise, there’s always a professional reference point and institutional support behind them.

Together, this creates a coaching ecosystem that is consistent, ethical, and culturally intelligent — ensuring your teen is supported by someone capable, accountable, and deeply invested in their growth.

Program Duration & Commitment

  • Standard Duration: 6 months (renewable)

  • For high-need teens: 12-month program recommended (teens below 50% will be strictly asked to be under a 12 months coaching package)

  • Fee: R2,500 per month
