About the community
The Thrive Club isn’t just another online program — it’s a growth community built for South African teens in Grades 8–12.
It’s a safe, structured space where teens can:
Connect with peers who share similar challenges and goals.
Build confidence in their academics, relationships, and self-identity.
Practice independence while still guided by certified Teencoaches.
Learn life skills that go beyond school — resilience, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
The community is moderated and supportive, giving teens freedom to express themselves while ensuring safety and respect. It blends daily inspiration, weekly lessons, and live bi-weekly group coaching to keep teens consistently engaged and growing.
Here, your teen will find encouragement, accountability, and belonging — everything they need to finish strong and step into their future with confidence.
HOW IT WORKS
•The Teencoaching™ Thrive Club is a monthly subscription-based community for teens in Grades 8–12.
•Here’s how it works:
1.Simple Monthly Subscription
Membership costs R950/month and is billed automatically from the card you use to sign up via PayFast.
You can cancel anytime — no contracts.
If a monthly payment fails or is missed, access to the community will be paused until payment is updated.
2.Community Access
Once your teen is registered, they will be added to:
A WhatsApp group for reminders, weekly affirmations, and quick updates.
The Teencoaching™ Thrive Online Portal, where all lessons, replays, and resources are stored.
3.Bi-Weekly Live Coaching Sessions
Teens join live sessions every second Wednesday (18h00–19h00).
A Zoom or Google Meet link will be shared in the community portal and WhatsApp group before each session.
Seven of these sessions each year will be led either by Nomveliso Mbanga, the Founder of Teencoaching™, or by one of our Certified Associate Teencoaches™, depending on the topic and invited guest speakers.
All sessions are recorded and uploaded for replay access.
4.Weekly Engagement & Learning
Teens receive weekly affirmations, reflection prompts, and short growth challenges.
These are shared through the portal and WhatsApp for easy access and consistent motivation.
5.Independent Teencoaching
The Thrive Club is a group-focused, self-paced coaching community.
It does not include one-on-one coaching or parental feedback — the focus is on your teen’s personal growth, accountability, and independence.
6.Safe Communication
All communication is moderated by certified Teencoaches™.
Teens are not allowed to chat privately with anyone they don’t already know, and must alert us immediately if anyone messages them without permission.
7.Festive Season Support & Emergency Buffer
Around December and other school holidays, our WhatsApp community remains open even when live sessions pause for festuve season related posts / buffers
During this time, the space acts as an emergency buffer — a safe zone where teens can reach out to moderators if they face day-to-day or emotional challenges that need troubleshooting.
Although no bi-weekly sessions run in December, moderators and certified Teencoaches™ are available periodically for check-ins and urgent support, ensuring that no teen feels isolated during the festive season.
Live sessions resume when schools reopen in January.
