Retreat
An Identity-Anchored Reconstruction Intensive
For Young Men who are functional on the outside but misaligned on the inside — ready for identity-level work, not motivational reflection.
Gender-Specific Cohort (Intentional Design)
The Soul Recharge Retreat #3 — An Identity-Anchored Reconstruction Intensive for Young Men.
Every moment, conversation, and activity is designed with intentionality to guide participants from misalignment to clarity, purpose, and self-authorship.
Men’s Identity Reconstruction Intensive
This cohort is designed for men who are accustomed to carrying responsibility quietly and have learned to stay functional while remaining emotionally unexpressed.
The men’s space prioritises:
unfiltered reflection without performance
dismantling survival identities shaped by expectations of masculinity
addressing family roles, silence, anger, and withdrawal
restoring internal authority and self-leadership
Men are supported to speak without comparison, explanation, or emotional pressure.
This is not a restorative escape — it is identity-level work.
The Soul Recharge Retreat #3 is a culturally grounded developmental space where young men (19–30) reconnect with identity, purpose, responsibility, and belonging through indigenous wisdom and guided reflection.
Over 3 transformative days in East London, participants:
Deconstruct identity shaped by childhood and family dynamics
Reclaim personal and cultural authorship
Address family roles, silence, anger, and withdrawal
Restore internal authority and self-leadership
Design a future from clarity, not conditioning
This is not a motivational event or holiday. It is identity-level work for young men ready to engage deeply with themselves.
Why this work matters
Many young men appear capable and responsible, yet internally feel:
Stuck, misaligned, or directionless
Shaped by early survival strategies mistaken for personality
Bound by unexamined family or cultural roles
Influenced by unresolved adolescence and early adulthood
Soul Recharge creates a psychologically safe, intentional space to interrupt these patterns and rebuild identity with clarity, agency, and self-authorship.
Participation is intentional. This work requires honesty, self-responsibility, and willingness to engage discomfort.
The work is grounded in five pillars
This intensive is structured around five integrated pillars that guide participants through deconstruction, reclamation, and reconstruction:
01
Emotional Intelligence
Developing emotional literacy and capacity to engage discomfort without avoidance or collapse.
02
Family Dynamics
Deconstructing inherited roles, loyalty patterns, and identity shaped by childhood positioning.
03
Indigenous Cultural Identity
Reclaiming cultural grounding and lineage wisdom without carrying unexamined trauma or obligation.
04
Self-Leadership Excellence
Restoring agency, boundaries, and internal authority to lead one’s life consciously.
05
Intellectual Growth
Making meaning of lived experience through skills mapping, pattern recognition, and future-oriented identity design.

Our Retreat Philosophy
Our retreats are not motivational events. They are intentionally structured developmental spaces.
Every retreat is designed with a clear emotional, intellectual, and cultural architecture. The flow is deliberate. The conversations are curated. The outcomes are defined in advance. Inspiration may emerge — but transformation is engineered.
At the core of our adult retreats is a return to umNtu.
Not as a religion.
Not as a spiritual office.
Not as a rejection of anyone’s personal faith.
But as a grounding in humanity, cultural intelligence, responsibility, and self-definition.
We operate from the understanding that colonial systems reduced identity into narrow binaries — religious, secular, or traditional healer. We reject that framing. Being umNtu is not a religious position. It is a human position. It is a cultural consciousness that precedes affiliation.
From that foundation, each individual is free to choose their spiritual or religious path. That is personal. Our work is focused on strengthening the base.
Our adult retreats center:
Cultural and African intelligence
Personal accountability
Emotional maturity
Leadership identity
Community responsibility
Conscious self-definition
We do not frame the space through religious rituals. There are no opening prayers, no religious positioning, and no expectation that participants conform to any belief system.
This is a space for grown dialogue.
This is a space for cultural clarity.
This is a space for becoming deliberate about who we are choosing to be in the future.
Our retreats are containers for conscious re-alignment — individually and collectively.
