Psychosocial
Practitioner Model™
AITPPM™ — Licensed Clinical Practitioner
A six-month clinical professional development and licensing programme for SACSSP-registered social workers and HPCSA-registered psychologists and therapists. Built on the premise that African teenagers deserve clinical support that speaks their cultural language — not just a Western framework with African references.
Prerequisite: clinical registration only. SACSSP or HPCSA registration is the single entry requirement. No coaching certification required. This is a clinical track for registered clinical professionals.
The Critical Distinction
Coaching Track
Teencoaching™ Certifications
For life coaches, educators, and practitioners working within coaching scope. Non-clinical. Does not require professional registration.
CIAT™, CIAC™, CIAP™
Coaching scope only — no clinical intervention
No SACSSP or HPCSA registration required
Refers clinical cases up to AITPPM™ practitioners
The cross-referral bridge. Certified Teencoaches™ and Licensed AITPPM™ Practitioners operate within the same MaGICA™ professional home. Coaches refer clients who exceed their coaching scope to AITPPM™ practitioners within the network. AITPPM™ practitioners refer clients whose needs are coaching-appropriate back to Teencoaches™. The client stays inside the same framework, the same language, and the same relational world throughout their journey.
Clinical Track — This Programme
AITPPM™ Programme
For registered clinical professionals extending their practice into indigenous-rooted adolescent psychosocial work. Operates within clinical scope.
SACSSP or HPCSA registration required
Full clinical scope — grief, suicide ideation, trauma, ASDB
Coaching track not required as prerequisite
Receives referrals from Teencoaches™ in the network
The Three Entry Tiers
Calibrated to
where you are starting from
The AITPPM™ is not a single programme with a single price. It meets you at your career stage and builds from there — whether you are newly registered, already in private practice, or a senior clinical practitioner ready to integrate at leadership level.
Tier A
Social Workers Without a Practice Number
SACSSP-registered · 3–4+ years experience · Ready for private practice but haven't taken the step
The AITPPM™ walks alongside you through private practice registration, medical aid billing setup, and the business foundation of a sustainable practice — alongside the full clinical and cultural framework. You arrive as an employee. You leave as a practitioner in your own right.
R72,000
Full upfront · Payment plans available
Tier B · Most Common
Social Workers Already in Private Practice
SACSSP-registered · Existing practice number · Ready to specialise and differentiate
You are already practising. The AITPPM™ gives you the specialisation that differentiates your practice in the market, deepens your clinical work with African teenagers and families, and opens new income streams within your existing structure. You arrive as a generalist. You leave as a specialist.
R85,000
Full upfront · Payment plans available
Tier C
Psychologists & Therapists
HPCSA-registered · Ready for a culturally grounded framework that Western training did not provide
The AITPPM™ gives you what your training did not — a decolonial, baNtu-rooted epistemological framework and the business architecture to build a thriving specialist practice at senior level. You integrate at clinical leadership level, and can move into supervision and training roles within the Mayine ecosystem.
R95,000
Full upfront · Payment plans available
"African knowledge is not an addition to this methodology. It is the foundation."
— Nomveliso Mbanga
The Three Foundations
What the AITPPM™
builds on and builds into
The AITPPM™ rests on three foundations that run simultaneously across the six months. They are not sequential — they are integrated. You cannot carry one without the other two.
01
The Decolonial Position
Ubuntu philosophy, Nguni cosmology, ancestral frameworks, kinship systems, and communal identity are the epistemological base — not cultural additions to a Western clinical foundation. This is an explicitly decolonial position. It reorients the clinical lens from pathology-first to strength-and-culture-first. Every clinical tool in the AITPPM™ is built from this foundation upward.
02
Clinical Scope Extension
Grief counselling and loss support. Suicide ideation assessment and intervention. Self-harm intervention within the indigenous framework. ASDB spectrum counselling with ICD-10 coding. Complex family mediation. Overall mental health and psychosocial support for African teenagers and their families. All within a culturally coherent, licensed framework that satisfies your SACSSP or HPCSA scope requirements.
03
Practice & Business Development
Private practice setup and registration guidance. Medical aid billing navigation — understanding the billing codes, the relationship with funders, and the documentation requirements. Ethical marketing within SACSSP and HPCSA requirements. Income stream mapping for a sustainable specialist practice. Programme design within the AITPPM™ framework — building your own group programmes and institutional contracts..

Supervision
Held throughout.
Not just at the end.
Supervision is not an add-on or an optional extra in the AITPPM™. It is the mechanism through which your clinical work is quality-assured, your CPD compliance is maintained, and your practice is held within the framework. It is also where the most significant professional growth happens.
Supervision sessions count toward your SACSSP or HPCSA annual CPD requirements. You are not paying for supervision separately from your professional obligations — you are meeting your professional obligations through the supervision embedded in this programme.
R6,500
Per month · Months 4–6 · Total R19,500
Individual supervision with Nomveliso or designated senior AITPPM™ supervisor

Supervision continues post-licensing through MaGICA™ Clinical Membership
MaGICA™ Clinical Membership
Your professional
home after licensing.
Every Licensed AITPPM™ Practitioner joins MaGICA™ — the Mayine Global Indigenous Coaches Association™. This is the professional home that connects you with the full Mayine ecosystem, maintains your licence, and keeps your practice supported and visible.
MaGICA™ Clinical Membership Includes
Ongoing clinical supervision within the AITPPM™ framework — SACSSP and HPCSA CPD compliant
Access to the full MaGICA™ community — including Teencoaches™ across all coaching tracks
MaGICA™ directory listing as a verified Licensed AITPPM™ Practitioner
Updated AITPPM™ clinical tools, assessment frameworks, and session resources
Annual AITPPM™ Clinical Licence renewal — maintaining your right to practise under the model
CPD hours recognised toward SACSSP and HPCSA annual requirements
The cross-referral network — inbound referrals from Teencoaches™ who reach their coaching ceiling
The cross-referral network is where your practice grows. Every certified Teencoach™ in the Mayine ecosystem is trained to refer clients who exceed their coaching scope to a Licensed AITPPM™ Practitioner within MaGICA™. As the network grows, so does your inbound referral pipeline — from practitioners who speak the same language, use the same framework, and hold the same cultural philosophy as you. You are not competing for clients. You are receiving them from peers who trust the methodology you share.
The cross-learning within MaGICA™ is intentional. As an AITPPM™ practitioner, you sit in the same professional community as coaches working with teenagers daily. The client moving between coaching and clinical support stays inside the same framework, the same language, and the same relational world.
Annual Clinical Membership fee confirmed at licensing
The Optional Coaching Pathway
For those who want
both rooms.
“Your clinical training is recognised. You do not start from the beginning.”
AITPPM™ practitioners who later wish to work within the Mayine coaching methodologies — CIAT™, CIAC™, or CIAP™ — may enrol in the relevant certification with a partial credit arrangement.
Your clinical training is recognised. The partial credit is confirmed at the point of enrolment based on your specific background and the certification you are entering. You do not repeat what you already carry.
This pathway is entirely optional. Many AITPPM™ practitioners remain exclusively in the clinical track and build a thriving practice without ever needing a coaching certification. The coaching pathway exists for those who want to hold the full arc — clinical depth and coaching breadth — within the same indigenous framework.

The clinical gap is real.
The framework exists.
African teenagers are sitting in clinical sessions being assessed through frameworks built in Europe and North America. The AITPPM™ exists because the gap between what African teenagers need and what clinical training provides has been documented across 30 years of practice. This programme closes it — for you, and for every client you will ever hold.
