A parent's guide to finding the right support for your teenager
We believe every teenager carries an identity that is already whole. Our work is not to fix — it is to uncover, anchor, and activate. Whether your teen needs one-on-one support, a long-term developmental relationship, a community to belong to, or a powerful residential experience, we have a pathway designed for them.
About Mayine
We meet teenagers where they are — and walk with them from there.
Mayine Development Institute is home to Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ — an ICF CCE-accredited, indigenous-rooted coaching practice founded by Nomveliso Mbanga, an Indigenous Identity Strategist™ with over 30 years of experience working with young people across coaching, community theatre, drama, and sport.
All our coaches — whether Nomveliso directly or our Licensed Associates — are trained under the same indigenous-rooted methodology and held to the same standard of practice. Your family is in safe, experienced hands.

Our Licensed Associates are certified under the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ methodology and operate under the Mayine brand with full practitioner accountability. They bring the same indigenous-rooted approach to every one-on-one session — at a rate designed to work for more households.
Sessions are one-on-one, 60 minutes per month. Your assigned coach also provides WhatsApp access between sessions for check-ins and support.

A note on international engagements
All international enquiries — whether Continental Africa or outside Africa — are routed through Mayine operations before coach assignment. International rates reflect the additional research, curriculum navigation, and cross-cultural preparation required for each engagement. Please enquire directly so we can ensure the right coach match for your family's context.
3 to 12 Months Package totals are based on your client type and session rate. A 30% deposit is required to confirm your place. Your coach will provide a full invoice with your personalised package total. All Licensed Associates hold current Mayine certification and practise under the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ trademark.

3yrs Growth Arc™
For families who understand that meaningful development requires consistency, continuity and time
The Teencoaching 3yrs Growth Arc™ is a long-term coaching relationship — not a collection of isolated sessions. Families commit to a three-year journey with their selected coach, with their fee price-locked for the full 36 months and protected from future increases.
Open to teenagers currently in Grade 7 to Grade 10. The arc runs for three years from the teenager's current grade, providing consistent support through the most identity-forming years of high school.

The Growth Arc operates exclusively at the Full Coaching Container level — a responsive, relationship-based engagement that holds both the teenager and the parent across the full three-year journey.

Teencoaching Conversations
Live 45-minute talks, every Thursday, hosted by coaches from the Teencoaching™ community. Teens listen to a topic that matters, then get time to ask questions. Not coaching — a space to think out loud.

Immersive residential experiences facilitated directly by Nomveliso Mbanga
Our retreat season offers teenagers a rare opportunity to step fully into a coaching environment — away from the noise of school, social media, and everyday pressure. Each retreat is carefully curated around the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ methodology. Limited to 15 participants per retreat.
All retreats are limited to 15 participants. A 30% deposit secures your teen's place. Retreat cohorts fill quickly — early application is strongly encouraged.

A Teencoach™, in person, on a topic that matters to your learners.
Schools, teachers, and principals who want a Teencoach™ placed within their school — supporting learners consistently, on-site, as part of the school community rather than an outside visit — can request this directly.
We match your school with a Licensed Associate in your region. Email us with your school's details and region to begin.
If you'd like a Teencoach™ to give a talk at your school or youth organization, email us with your details and region. We'll match you with a coach in close proximity to you.
