What this programme is
Coaching, community,
and real-world exposure
The Teencoaching Group Experience is not a classroom and it is not a therapy group. It is a high-energy, curated monthly experience — where East London teens come together for coaching content, interactive learning, and encounters with voices and perspectives that expand their world.
Each session is built around the MAE™ framework — Mindset of Academic Excellence — bringing identity, self-leadership, and emotional intelligence into real, practical conversation. Not as theory. As lived experience.
We bring in guest speakers, facilitators, and practitioners who bring the framework to life from different angles — so your teen doesn't just hear about leadership and identity from one voice, but encounters it from many.
01 - Mindset of Academic Excellence
02 - Indigenous Identity & Cultural Grounding
03 - Emotional Intelligence
04 - Self-Leadership Excellence
05 - Community & Peer Exposure
How it works
Every session is
an event, not just a meeting
Each monthly session is a full experience — structured, high-energy, and built around a specific focus area from the MAE™ framework.
Coaching content
Each session is anchored in the MAE™ framework — alive, experiential, and built for teens who are ready to engage rather than just listen.
Guests & Practitioners
High-impact voices from different fields and disciplines — expanding what teens understand about identity, leadership, and what is possible for them.
Peer community
The room itself is part of the experience. East London teens, in the same space, doing real work together — that is something no individual session can replicate.
Is this the right fit?
"This programme is for the teen who is capable, curious, and ready to be stretched — not broken down, but opened up."
The teen who thrives here
Wants to grow — not just academically, but as a person.
Energised by community and group experiences.
Ready to engage, contribute, and be challenged.
What they'll encounter
Real conversations about identity, leadership, and purpose.
Exposure to perspectives beyond their current world.
A community of East London teens building something together.
What is not included
This is not a turnaround programme. If your teen is scoring below 50% and needs deep academic intervention, the Teen Performance Reset (online cohort) is the right fit.

Part of a
wider ecosystem
This programme is one entry point into the Mayine Development Institute ecosystem. Teens who want deeper, more personalised support can access one-on-one coaching or the high-touch online cohort.
Parents in East London can also join the Founder Parenting Circle™ (R4,900/month) — a separate, dedicated coaching space for the parents of teens navigating this developmental season.
You do not have to choose one and close off the others. The programmes are designed to complement each other.
