Parenting
Circles™
From default parenting to intentional instinct. A continuous support space for parents who know they want more than a single event — they want a community that walks with them through their child's full developmental journey.
The Power of 8
Why only eight parents per circle
Individual attention
Small enough that your coach knows your child's name, your situation, and your specific season of parenting.
Honest conversation
Safe enough that you can say what you actually think — not what sounds like a good parent.
Shared wisdom
Large enough that you learn from the lived experience of other parents in the same season as you.
Real accountability
Structured enough that every parent participates. Nobody gets lost. No voices dominate.
What This Is — And What It Is Not
This is not random
advice-sharing.
There are many spaces where parents can vent, share, and commiserate. The Teencoaching Parenting Circles™ are not one of them. This is a structured, coached, intentional community.
What this is not
- A WhatsApp group with random parenting tips
- A venting space without structure or direction
- A one-size-fits-all parenting programme
- A space where the loudest voice dominates
- A once-off event with no continuity
- Generic advice that ignores your child's specific stage
What this is
- A small, held circle of eight parents led by a certified coach
- Structured bi-monthly in-person sessions with a clear curriculum
- Grouped by your child's exact developmental stage
- A space where every parent's voice carries equal weight
- A continuous journey — not a one-off event
- Grounded in the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ methodology
Three Stage Groups
Each stage has
its own circle.
Because each developmental stage comes with its own pressures and frustrations, we do not mix grade groups. You will be placed with parents navigating exactly the same season as you.
01
Grades 1–7 · Ages 6–13
Foundation & Pre-Teen Circle
Building the right foundation before adolescence arrives. For parents who want to prepare — not just react when the preteen years hit.
- Emotional regulation and early behaviour
- Routines, structure, and family foundations
- Preparing for the preteen identity shift
- Building connection before the difficult years
02
Grades 8–10 · Ages 13–16
Teen Circle
The most demanding season. For parents who want to stay in the relationship when identity shifts, peer pressure intensifies, and communication breaks down.
- Discipline without power struggles
- Communication that actually lands
- Managing school stress and academic pressure
- Peer influence, social media, and digital parenting
03
Grades 11–12 & Beyond · Ages 16+
Matric & Transition Circle
The final school years and what comes after. For parents navigating matric pressure, tertiary decisions, and the beginning of the renegotiation into young adulthood.
- Matric pressure and academic final stretch
- Tertiary choices and career direction
- Shifting from parenting to mentorship
- Letting go while staying connected
How the Circle Works
Three interlocking
components.
The circle does not just happen in the room. Three components keep you growing between sessions — not just on the day.
01
Bi-Monthly
In-Person Sessions
Every second month your circle meets in person for a 3-hour structured session led by your Certified Instinct-Anchored Parenting Coach™. Each session builds on the previous one — your growth is consistent, not hit-and-miss.

Guided WhatsApp
Circle Support
Between sessions your group stays connected through a coach-facilitated WhatsApp space. Ask questions, get clarity, learn from each other's real experiences. It is not noisy. It is structured and purposeful.

Monthly Tools &
Curriculum Access
Your circle is supported by a practical curriculum developed by Nomveliso Mbanga. You receive tools, exercises, and reflections to apply what you are learning at home — between every session.

"Real change does not happen in crowded rooms. The Power of 8 is rooted in the African indigenous understanding that transformation happens in small, held communities where every voice has equal weight."

New to this work?
Start with the retreat.
Many parents find that joining a circle feels like a big commitment before they have experienced what this work actually feels like. The Indigenous Parenting Circle™ Retreat is a natural starting point — a single weekend that gives you the full experience before you decide on an ongoing journey.
Explore the Parenting Retreat →"The retreat builds the community. The circles keep it alive. You do not have to choose — many parents do both."
