About me

Nomveliso Mbanga

Everything I do is rooted in an indigenous framework. My methodology and philosophy start from cultural identity: who you are, where you come from, and what your family and community taught you. That's why I call myself an Indigenous Identity Strategist™.

I used almost thirty years of experience with young people, families and communities to create my own niche, and since 2015 I've worked in it formally through Mayine Development Institute. I turned my way of working into the Nomveliso Mbanga Teencoaching™ methodology, had it ICF-accredited, and built a certification programme from it. Today it's a full business ecosystem: certification programmes, licensed associate coaches, trademarks in four countries, more than twenty camps and retreats, the Indigenously Rising podcast and my handbook, The Business of Coaching in Africa.
